It is our policy at Robert Higgins City Construction Limited to encourage all employees to undertake training to maximise their own potential and that of the team and the Company. This is a continual commitment and is available for all employees.
Training for all employees will be reviewed on a regular basis in line with the need of the individual and the need of the Company. We will also ensure that, as well as providing job specific training, full training will be given in safety and other areas when necessary.
Although the Directors take overall responsibility for training and development, it is the responsibility of the individual to take an interest in their own training – helping to identify their own training needs and future development opportunities. All individuals will be given an opportunity to discuss their training requirements with their manager informally throughout the year.
Likewise, their manager will take responsibility for ensuring that training is identified and that they support and take an active interest in training.
We believe that any training is positive, regardless of whether it is necessary for the needs of the job and therefore we are open to any requests that individuals may put forward.
This policy is subject to continuous monitoring and review to ensure continued improvement in our working practices.
